Helmet Heads is a community outreach program that delivers free recreational use helmets within educational fairs to elementary students in Title I schools in Denver, Colorado. The nonprofit was founded in 2010 by Dr. Bruce Evans and started delivering helmets in its first year at Fletcher Elementary School.

Project Scope

Hive Digital Minds (Hive) was hired to revise the organization’s brand identity to serve as the foundation of all outreach efforts highlighting the unique characteristics of the nonprofit and the passion of its founders.

Action Plan

  • Story - created the Helmet Heads “story” and key messages for outreach efforts

  • Visual Elements - evaluated and updated visual elements (including a new logo) to more effectively reflect the Helmet Heads vision and mission

  • Materials - created design recommendations for a new website and collateral materials to ensure consistency across all marketing mediums

Result

In just 3 months, our Hive team developed a new logo and created a consistent visual identity for the nonprofit across all its communication mediums.
